Overview

This advanced course builds on Firefighter 1 competencies and prepares participants to handle complex fire incidents. Trainees learn advanced fire suppression techniques, technical rescue support, vehicle extrication, and incident scene management. The program also includes building materials, structural collapse, and fire origin determination. Participants gain practical and theoretical knowledge to respond efficiently and safely during high-risk operations.

Target Audience:
Persons wishing to pursue a professional firefighting career and progress beyond entry-level skills.

Pre-Requisites:

  1. Firefighter 1 NFPA 1001 & First Aid Level 2 or proof of medical competency

  2. Mathematical Literacy and Communication – Ordinary level

  3. No Claustrophobia or Acrophobia
